Looking forward to our trip at the end of May but was wondering if anyone knew of recent (2010) pictures of the waterfalls or rebuilding efforts. I was there last summer so know the damage that was done and am anxious to see how well the recovery is going. Thanks!

Admin reply: It is recommended that you leave your pets at home. Supai is home to many dogs who roam freely.

To Robin: My boyfriend and I had a similar agenda last summer. We wished we had taken the helicoter in and saved our feet for hiking to the falls. We made it to Beaver Falls and back but we were really tired. We rode out on horses. I would not take the horses in unless you are accustomed to riding. You will be sore. You won't be disappointed. An amazing place.

I went to Havasu Falls during September of last year. It was my first time visiting there and my then boyfriend proposed on the steps that you use to get behind Rock Falls :)

It was amazing! The local dogs were pretty cool, too.

We are planning to goto the falls in the middle of July. We are somewhat concerned about the heat, How hot does it really get.

Admin reply: It is a desert climate and gets in excess of 100 degrees some days. There is quite a bit of shade in the shadow of the walls if you start early. Plenty of water is a must for the hike. Once at the falls, the heat is no match for the 70 degree water. :!cool:
