Admin reply: reposted: A friend and I recently got back from this trip and it was amazing. We hiked down the canyon and it took a little over 3 hours. Make sure to take stops in the shade and drink plenty of water thru out all your hikes. The map of the village is not to scale, so be wise as to distance. The falls are incredible. We did not make it to beaver falls, but enjoyed swimming and taking in the scenery of the others. The climb down to mooney falls was invigorating. The water was warm and the scenery is breathtaking. There is some cell phone reception I believe if you use verizon or T mobile. We had minimal luck. If at all possible try to bring some type of water shoe. We took the helicopter ride out. We signed up very ealry in the am. My friend had never been in a hellicopter before and was exstatic!
Added: This was truly an outstanding adventure, one of which I believe we are so fortunate to have done.

Comments: We are planning to visit in early October - 1st time for us. If we hike down to the falls before lodge check in, is there someplace for the ladies to change into swim suits? Looking forward to the experience!

Comments: I had a wonderful time at Havasupai. This place is truly magical. I will definitely be back.
I unfortunately managed to loose my camera hiking out of the canyon. If anyone perhaps came upon a black Canon PowerShot on the trail PLEASE CONNECT ME! The camera was in a small black leather pouch, and it had a piece of hemp rope attached to the strap. If I had to guess where I left it, it was about 2 miles away from the village, most likely on the east side of the canyon wall. (Right side heading toward the village, Left side heading to the Hilltop)
This camera had all the pictures of my trip to the falls, I really hope I can get it, and those pictures back.
If any info please please please contact me in the e-mail link next to this box. There will be a reward offered if found. Thank you.

Comments: This is by far the most beautiful place I have visited in the United States and definately one of the top 5 in the world. I would live here if I could. The waterfalls, greenery, and rock formations are absolutely breathtaking. The way the canyon and river are carved out is like a giant playground. I came last August during the music/cultural festival and had an absolute blast. The locals are very friendly as well. I'll be back to visit this September. I can't wait!
